Why is Holistic Health so important?

Holistic health, what is it? Holistic health is the health of the mind body and spirit. It is recognizing that to heal ourselves its a matter of healing all three aspects. This is because we are in fact all three. That said, we need to take into account all in order to heal our whole person.
Holistic health also factors in your emotional, social, spiritual, mental and physical health. When one is unbalanced, that's when we begin so see ailments in the body. Fortunately, there are several ways to make sure we are keeping our health at its best. Lets talk about them!

Emotional:
- Express your feelings
- Manage your stress
- Strive for balance
- Practice breathwork
- Stay connected to friends & family
- Set reasonable expectations for yourself
Social
- Don't be afraid to ask for health
- Take breaks everyday
- Keep up with your hobbies & interests
- Become more organized, make to-do lists, & set a daily routine

Spiritual
- Connect with your faith community
- Volunteer or help others
- Practice Meditation & Yoga
- Practice communicating with your angels and guides
- Incorporate journaling into your daily routine
- Learn to forgive others and fill your heart with love

Mental
- Practice gratitude daily
- Start your day of with coffee! ( coffee and its caffeine has been linked to lower rates of depression )
- Eat high vibrational foods like fresh fruit, green leafy vegetables, sprouts and more
- Keep yourself active
- Do things that you enjoy doing and that make you happy

Physical
- Drink more water and less sugary drinks
- Exercise regularly
- Get plenty of rest
- Eat less fast food and try eating whole organic foods if possible
- Get a good nights rest
When incorporating these tactics into your daily routine your health is sure to flourish. Holistic health looks at the whole person and works to treat underlying conditions to fix the root cause of a problem instead of the short term problems.
